Gardening...

Disciples are fully equipped gardeners – equipped with nine GIFTS – nine Gardening TOOLS to work in the garden with:

the very fruits of the Holy Spirit – love and joy, peace and patience, kindness, generosity, faithfulness, gentleness, and self control

AND OUR GARDEN… Our Garden INCLUDES everything outside THE church walls

The VERY Gate to the Garden – are the Church Doors.
AS WE PASS THROUGH ANY DOOR IN ANY CHURCH - we enter the garden.
The Church is the very center of the garden – and in theory – no matter what direction we travel N-S-E-W – eventually, THE PATH leads right back here to the center

As Fully Equipped Gardeners

that which we choose to grow is defined only by our choices, and the size of our garden PLOT – THE AREA OF THE GARDEN WE CHOOSE TO WORK IN is defined only by the perimeters we set around them.

"Gardening" is what can grow in each of our lives as Christians, the great harvests ahead.

To be successful gardeners – For growth to occur - We need five things:

AIR, SOIL, WATER, LIGHT & SPACE

We are provided with all five – before we even step foot in the garden:

>We are provided with that AIR – We breathe the VERY GIFT OF LIFE

>We are provided with that SOIL – We are fully supported by the soil of the very earth under foot

>We are provided with that WATER – We physically CARRY THE Holy Spirit

>We are provided with that LIGHT – We CARRY THE LIGHT of JESUS CHRIST HIMSELF

>We are provided with that SPACE – Outside all Church windows – ENDLESS SPACE to work and to grow

To be MOST EFFECTIVE AND MOST SUCCESSFUL as gardeners and IN OUR GARDENING –

WE also NEED TO be TRAINING OTHER GARDENERS along the way…

AT ALL TIMES - We have a COMPASS FOR DIRECTION - A MASTER GARDENER to follow
AS DISCIPLES – WE BEST TRANSFORM THROUGH THIS UNDERSTANDING.
Church – AND THE GARDEN is:

24 hours high - 7 days a week wide - And 365 days a year long…

They are one in the same. The Church is part of the Garden – The Garden part of the Church.

Working in one is working in the other…

Gardening demonstrates a common life of gratitude & devotion, witness & service, celebration & discipleship

As with many things in life – often AN answer lies within the question.

We BEGIN TO TRANSFORM THE GARDEN, THE WORLD, THROUGH OUR GIFTS, OUR MANY, MANY, UNIQUE AND MOST SPECIAL GOD-GIVEN ABILITIES, in ANSWERING ONE QUESTION each and every day:
